Marche Rosso I.G.T. Selection
My name is Rubeo, like the noble family settled in Montegranaro in 1500, which is remembered in particular for its member, the poet Menicuccio, to whom the “Rubeo” name suited very well since
just a few glasses of the local wine made his cheeks of a beautiful ruby red.
My grapes are 100% Montepulciano. I have a consistent and limpid, ruby-red colour. My perfume is intense and heady, with fruity aroma of cherry and with noticeable spicy hints of licorice, pepper and coffee.
The taste is dry, warm, with good smoothness, balance and finesse.
Full in the mouth and with good fruity and spicy notes.
I perfectly match with: red meats in general, cold cuts, aged cheeses.
My winemaking process Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins at a temperature of 26-28° C for 18-20 days, during which small daily pump-overs are carried out.
Wine selection in the racking stage with weekly batonages.
Maturation: in new medium-toasted French barriques, for 18 months.
Aging: in bottle for 8-12 months.
