Rosso Piceno D.O.C.
My name is Rio and I take the name from the river that runs along my vineyards. I am a Rosso Piceno, wine of ancient origins and long tradition, which is documented since the pre-Roman population of Piceni.
My grapes are 50% Montepulciano and 50% Sangiovese, two noble grape varieties historically grown in the Marche Region;
I am a harmonious combination between the character of Montepulciano and the elegance of Sangiovese.
I have a wine with great balance and good drinkability.
I distinguish for my ruby color with violet reflections;
by smell are perceptible floral and fruity notes. The taste is soft, round and persistent.
I perfectly match with: white and red meats in general, cold cuts, cheeses, fish soup.
My winemaking process Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks with pre-fermentative cold maceration and subsequent fermentation at controlled temperature (26-28 °) with pumping over technique.
Maturation: in stainless steel tanks.
Aging: in bottles for 2 months.
