
Rosso Piceno D.O.C. Selection
My name Granarijs comes from the antique toponym of Montegranaro, Mons Granarijs, known for the granaries built here by the ancient Romans.
My grapes are 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese.
I am a wine of great elegance and character, and I require a careful selection in the vineyard: only the best grapes are hand-picked, no more than 2 or 3 per plant, at their perfect ripeness.
My color is a vivid, brilliant red with garnet tints; my perfumes – red fruits, pepper, chocolate – are refined, intense and clean.
The taste is full-bodied, smooth and balanced with a long finish.
I perfectly match with:
with roasts, game and red meats in general.
My winemaking process Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks, fermentation at a controlled temperature of 26-28° C with pumping-over
technique, post-fermentative maceration for further 4-5 days.
Maturation: in French Barriques 14 months.
Aging: in bottle for 6-8 months.
